Our Favorite Taprooms in Oregon City

There’s no shortage of options for grabbing a drink in Oregon City, but what if you want a locally-owned spot that has a hand-picked selection of all the finest brews, ciders, and seltzers the PNW has to offer? Then, it’s a taphouse you’re looking for! Here are the top 3 tap houses in OC (in no particular order) and why OC Clubbers love them.

Arch Bridge Taphouse

Whether you’re strolling downtown or choosing to park on the bluff and taking a ride on the quirkiest and most historical Municipal Elevator, Arch Bridge Taphouse is a great spot to land. You’ll be able to choose from 18 rotating taps ranging from pilsners and pales, hazys and hefes, to ciders and sours. Behind the bar, Gene & Franny are always happy to help you make a selection and pour you a taster if you’re having trouble deciding. It’s clear they have insider knowledge when it comes to upcoming releases from your fave breweries and put extensive thought into choosing local and seasonal selections. With a recent expansion of their seating area and a new collab with Fussy Food, you can now order a smash burger and tots to build that base layer before ordering your next drink. Always keeping it chill with the tunes on vinyl and events like “Saisonisance” and “Archiversary,” Arch Bridge is where you go for low-key vibes, local love, and top-notch taps.

Madison Taproom

This cozy space gives retro vibes in the most authentic way - it’s not really trying to be anything it’s not, and that’s really why we love it. There’s classic arcade games, a variety of pinball machines, jukeboxes (with free selections!), and a 22-foot-long shuffleboard table. In all honesty, we probably shouldn’t be telling you about this place because it’s a local gem in all the best ways. Oh right, there’s beer too: 16 rotating taps of local breweries and cideries. Ask the delightful bartendress for a taster simply to see the most miniature of pint glasses that they use - truly adorable. Madison does have some bar snacks and munchies for order, a back patio that is no fuss but gets the job done, and an ever-growing Wednesday night trivia crowd. Bonus: you can rent out the whole place for parties and events! If you’re looking for a local spot for delicious beer and the potential for neighborly conversation, this is your place.

The Growler Run

This spot is worth a quick drive “up the hill” on Molalla for 30 rotating local taps, knowledgeable peeps behind the bar, and free popcorn (if you’re into that sort of thing). Not to mention, there’s typically an abundance of very-welcomed and very fuzzy puppies at Growler Run. In fact, they lean into the dog love with their own instagram of @dogsofthegrowlerrun. With bar games, shuffleboard, and all the seasonal sports on their flatscreens, The Growler Run is the best spot for catching a game with a drink in hand once football season starts. The upside to being on Molalla means that you have a ton of food options within walking distance nearby. Grab a sandwich, a burger, or some tacos to bring to the bar with you. It’s encouraged!
